a sacred pilar

a lingam

a dorian column

here I sit inlayed

into a bed of concrete

in the foundations

of a Florida shopping mall

I was peacefully growing

on the side of a road

bathing in the sun

when suddenly I found myself

locked up in a flower

penitentiary

I am a lake

I am a river

I was a cloud

I was an ocean

and now here I am doing

doing time in Alcatraz

I was a forest

a haven

now I am

a barn
